Gynecological clinic
Sanatorium Helios offers complex gynecological care and prevention to our clients. We perform gynecological surgery by both the inpatient and the one-day surgery. Sanatorium Helios makes personal approach and individual care our top priority.
Apart from standard gynaecological care( prevention, contraception) we offer expert and specialized care. As a partner of several gynaecologists of dispatch we perform infertility treatment, specialized examination and treatment of precancerous stages of female reproductive organs by special ultrasound diagnosis.
1. Preventive care
Every woman should undergo preventive gynecological check-up with the sampling of cervical cytology (PAP smear) once a year. Its aiml is early detection of precancerous changes on cervix and the possibility of early treatment. The examination alone contains gynecological examination by speculum mirrors, colcoscopy (microscopy of cervix), cytology sampling, palpation examination of small pelvis and an ultrasound of small pelvis.
For other preventive precautions nowadays exists a cervix cancer vaccination (specifically against human papillomavirus (HPV) which causes 99% of cervical cancer cases). There are vaccines at our centre that are currently available on the market.
2. Diagnosis and gynecological diseases treatment
Our services include examination and treatment of acute symptoms of the patient and long-term monitoring of patients with gynecological conditions (cysts, myomas, premalignant changes in the cervix, recurrent vaginal infections, long-term pain in the lower abdomen).Â
3. Contraception Counselling
We offer a consultation for choosing the most appropriate contraception and its form (pills, patches, vaginal rings, intrauterine device..) regarding age, diseases, patient’s wishes and regular monitoring of patients who use hormonal contraception.

We take care of patients with gynecological diseases caused by hormonal dysfunctions. We treat menstrual disorders, painful menstruation, high levels of prolactin or male sex hormones, reduced ovarian function, polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis.
