We are a private clinic with the longest tradition in assisted reproduction in the Czech Republic. We have focused exclusively on reproductive medicine for more than 30 years. Sanatorium Helios was founded by MUDr. Pavel Texl in 1994 as the country’s first private IVF centre. From the very beginning he championed the most modern methods in both infertility treatment and preimplantant genetic diagnostics. This work  is continued by his son MUDr. Jakub Texl who brings a fresh perspective and his own expertise to the clinic. He is also a certified specialist in colposcopy expertise.

Since 2005 we have been collaborating with one of the world’s leading IVF centres, Australian clinic Genea (formerly Sydney IVF) which develops its own technologies and media. Thanks to this exceptional partnership, we can offer equipment and approaches that often reach routine practice only years later.

We believe that connecting a top team, advanced technology and personal approach has the greatest impact  on outcomes – and our results have been above average in the long term. That makes us the only centre in the Czech Republic with the accreditation for embryological, andrological and genetic examinations.

Our staff consists of experienced doctors, embryologists, andrologists and geneticists who continuously develop their skills and follow the latest advances in the field.

We work with state‑of‑the‑art technologies such as the GERI time‑lapse incubator, GAVI vitrification systems, and isolation workstations that provide ideal conditions for handling eggs and embryos.

All genetic testing is performed directly at our clinic, without the need to send samples elsewhere. This gives us full control over quality and turnaround times. We offer karyotype testing as well as carrier screening for monogenic diseases.

Your body doesn’t take days off- and neither do we. We carry out monitoring, egg retrievals and embryo transfers during the weekends, because we understand your cycle doesn’t follow office hours.

Whenever possible, we choose a more gentle approach with minimal medication. We closely monitor the cycle, including the hormone levels, to time the transfer precisely. 

We also help couples who have experienced repeated unsuccessful IVF cycles. For each patient, we look for new pathways and solutions that make sense for their specific situation.

We do not measure success by a positive pregnancy test alone, but by the birth of a healthy child. We publish our results openly and accurately.

We create a personalised treatment plan for every couple based on detailed diagnostic testing. We believe that combining expertise with empathy is key to success.
