Dear Sir or Madam,
My husband and I need ICSI treatment because the sperm quality is not very good. We want to use our own sperm and egg. We would like to have PGD done. What costs should we expect? Is the PGD carried out in your own laboratory or is it outsourced?
We had an attempt in December, which was unfortunately unsuccessful.
Thank you in advance for your efforts!
Best regards
Claire
Dear Claire,
We carry out the PGT-M and PGT-A (former PGD and PGS) tests in our own genetic laboratory. Last year, our medical genetics laboratory has confirmed the accreditation according to EN ISO 15189, which is the highest possible assessment of the quality of work in laboratories.
In addition, our clinic has been the sole owner of the exclusive license of Genea World leading fertility in the Czech and Slovak Republics for 15 years. Thanks to this cooperation, we have the most modern equipment and trained staff. Our goal is to cultivate high quality blastocysts capable of PGT-M and PGT-A examination. This has several advantages. The examination of blastocysts is much more accurate because it is performed on higher quality sample. In the biopsy of the blastocysts, the study is carried out on 2-3 cells (the embryo at this stage of development has 100-200 cells as opposed to the biopsy on the three-embryos having only 7-10 cells. The blastocyst stage of the embryo is more appropriate.
What are the costs: The PGT method via NGS costs 1400 EUR and is offered if you are older than 37 years (at this age the risk of chromosome disorders is gradually increasing), you have had repeated miscarriages, the partner’s spermiogram does not show normal results or if he is older than 50 years. I would like to invite you to the first meeting in our center, where everything is explained to you.
Best regards
