Congratulations to our two colleagues from the IVF laboratory, MVDr. Eliška Smyčková and Mgr. Sandra Matejová, who successfully passed the final exams on laboratory methods in assisted reproduction. The AKK accredited course and exams covered a wide range of topics in the field of reproductive medicine and laboratory procedures. In addition to the practical part, theoretical topics such as work safety in the laboratory, laboratory organization, documentation management, metrology, quality control and much more were included. At the same time, they had to focus on theoretical aspects such as anatomy and physiology of the genital system, hormonal regulation of reproduction and embryology, among these areas were also highly specialized embryological and andrological procedures.
Embryologists acquire their knowledge and skills during university studies and during further accredited education and subsequently during long-term practice. Work in the field of assisted reproduction and embryology is extremely demanding and only the best can handle it. Their excellent and responsible work contributes to the success of the entire IVF process.
