I have had several abortions since I was 27. We both had all the examinations in order. I have reduced thyroid function and thrombophilia, poor immunity treated in Prague as well. I went through several clinics, took a lot of hormones… I still believed that it would come on its own. And that was a big mistake. Time passed, when I was 40 years old, I was on artificial insemination. I had everything beautiful according to the doctors, several times, yet after several ETs and KETs, inseminations, even donor eggs and embryos, it never worked out. So much pain and tears..
I read various discussions of girls who had the same problem as me and there I read great praise for the Helios Sanatorium in Brno, that there is a great success rate there. And so, after the agreement, we went to the first examination. Mr. Prim. MUDr. Pavel Texl cheerfully welcomed us and gave us so much hope and energy that we believed that this time it would work out. He explained to us that after the age of 35 a woman has worse eggs, that there is a chance with a donor embryo and that after two visits I will be pregnant. I immediately went for a blood test. A few days later, the coordinator Mgr. Zuzanka Repková, if we agree that she has a donor for us. She told us hair color, height, weight, eye color, donor age, blood type.
She explained everything to us beautifully and arranged what and how. The embryo froze. I went to my gynecologist to measure the height of the endometrium, it was fine. The introduction of the embryo went smoothly. I liked the pleasant environment and the staff, the privacy and that kind of nature there. Dr. Jakub Texl introduced my embryo so skilfully that it was a one-two punch. Beautiful music was playing, I lay for a few minutes and looked at the star in my womb on the monitor. In a few minutes we went for a walk in the city. I always used to lie down for a long time after the procedure and take a vacation, now I did everything normally.
And so the doctor was right. I was pregnant after the second visit. And he was also right that if the egg is of good quality, that it will be preserved and there is no need to deal with immunity or blood clotting, I only went for a hematology check-up during pregnancy. I was also very happy that, compared to other clinics, I did not have to take hormones, only to maintain the embryo.
My whole pregnancy was nice and everything was fine even though I am well over 40 years old. Therefore, if you are reading this, like I once was, and are considering a donor embryo, I just want to tell you – go for it and don’t wait for anything. Go to the Sanatorium in Brno, even if you are from far away, because I should have done that a long time ago. I also had a thousand fears that if he wasn’t “ours”, how would I accept him. And all worries are suddenly gone. We have a smiling little boy who is everything to us and always will be.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
