we finally got married, and with it the search for a child, which would crown this love… months and years went by… we both had check-ups, analyses… in Italy a gynaecologist reassured me by simply saying that I was stressed, that I shouldn’t think about it… that nature should take its course… at the same time, my husband is being operated on for varicocele, and the andrologist, very realistically, tells us that the chances of having a baby are almost zero… and that if we were his children he would advise us to embark on a course of assisted reproduction, even using IVF.
