Sperm donation is mutually anonymous.
An optimal sperm donor for a given couple is selected, along with the patients, on the basis of a questionnaire and the most suitable candidate is chosen according to blood type, hair or eye colour or his figure. One of the criteria should be fundamental – it is usually the blood group of partners.
A sperm donor must meet the following criteria:
- Age 19-35.
- Higher or secondary education completed by a final exam.
- Negative results of all legally-required blood and urine tests.
- Meeting the strict sperm analysis criteria.
- Negative results of all sperm function tests (including DNA fragmentation test)
